      FSU Catalog Searching Tips

      • The drop down menu on the right of the search box can help narrow your search. If you want to search for something broad and general (or a subject), leave the Anywhere setting. If you want to search for works written by a specific person, search by author. If you are looking for a specific work, search by title
      • Use the Advanced Search option to do more targeted searches and get more accurate search results. In addition to being able to search by more than one limiter (including the option to search by subject heading), you can also search by location, format, date, and language.
      • To narrow your search further, there is an option to "Narrow results by" in a box to the left on your results page.

      Find Books @ Other Libraries
