ORCID

This guide provides information about how to create and use your ORCID ID at FSU.

Welcome!

ORCID provides a persistent digital identifier that distinguishes you from every other researcher and ensures that your work is recognized by linking you to your professional activities. Your ORCID will remain with you throughout your career, regardless of changes in institutional affiliation.

Your ORCID record is easy to populate using the helpful import wizards. Once complete, you can use your ORCID to save you time on grant proposals, manuscript submissions, and updating your promotion and tenure CV in FEAS+.

You can get started with ORCID in three easy steps:

  1. Get your ORCID ID. Go to https://orcid.fsu.edu/ and click the Create / Connect ORCID ID button. This step takes less than a minute.
  2. Add your works. Adding works to your record is easy using ORCID's search and link wizards and import tools. You can also enable automatic updates from publishers and funders to whom you have provided your ORCID ID.
  3. Use your ORCID ID. Include your ORCID ID on your personal webpage and when you submit publications and apply for grants. This can save you time and will also help to ensure that your account stays up to date.
