Welcome to the research guide for Artists' Books available in Special Collections.  Special Collections is located on the main floor of Strozier Library at FSU and is open Monday - Friday (10:00-6:00).

Artists' books are considered works of art conceived and generated in book format. They are usually produced in limited editions, can exist outside a gallery and aim to be an interactive experience in order to merge the exclusive nature of art with the accessible nature of a hand held book.

Our LibGuide for Artists' Books is a mere glimpse of the current list of more than 200 titles (available to print below).  Items housed in Special Collections cannot be checked out due to their rare, valuable and usually delicate status, however; researchers are welcome to view these items in our reading room during the hours posted above.

Note: The Artists' Book LibGuide continues to be a work in progress due to newly acquired materials each year.  Remember to visit this LibGuide again for a revised list of artists' books housed in Special Collections.
