The Florida government documents are located on the lower level of Strozier Library, in the stacks in the Scholars Commons. There are 2 different call number systems, Library of Congress and Fla-Doc. Library of Congreww (LC) is arranged by subject and the Fla-Doc system is arranged by the agency that produced the document. The latest monographs the library has received are in this call number system. You could browse the shelves in Fla-Doc Municipal TAL to find documents about Tallahassee. However, documents on the city of Tallahassee are located in both of these call numbers.
Not all of our documents are cataloged. You may consult the Florida card catalog located outside of the Scholars Commons office suite, to find those documents that are not in our online catalog, or ask a librarian for help.
Tallahassee, Leon County -- The name is derived from a Muskogee word meaning "old town."
