Darwin’s third major work in evolutionary theory. This work is concerned with the biological aspects of emotional life and entails early ideas on behavioral genetics, exploring the origin of these characteristics from animals.

First edition was published in 1839 under the title: Journal of researches into the geology and natural history of the various countries visited by H. M. S. Beagle.

This is a first edition bound in green cloth and stamped in gold and blind. It has brown coated endpapers and is kept in a protective case.
