Strozier Library, a Tallahassee institution since 1956, is open to the public during normal business hours most days. Please consult our Library Hours page for specific opening and closing times. Access to some resources may be restricted to FSU students and faculty due to specific publisher contract provisions. We suggest planning your visit at times when the university is not holding classes or between semesters due to parking and heavy use by students and faculty.
Parking at FSU is a serious issue you need to consider before visiting. Parking near the library is not available to the public. Bus service is available, as well as, off site parking and street parking. Here are suggested links for planning how to get to FSU and park.
The closest street parking to the library is along Park Avenue. It is approximately a 10 minute walk.
This guide documents free web resources, databases available to the public at Florida State University, surrounding institutions, and other resources on the Internet.
University Libraries welcomes visitors and researchers. While any person may visit the libraries and use materials, databases, and resources on-site; computers in the libraries are primarily for the research needs of the FSU faculty, students, and staff. FSU does not provide computers for internet browsing to the public. If you are planning to do research at FSU please bring a at least a 4meg flash drive to save your research as printing requires a printing card ($5) and copes are $.08 per page.
No FSU resources are availabe via online remote login except to the faculty, students, and staff of FSU.
Many of the same tools are availabe through other education institutions and public libraries. We encourage you to use your local public library's access to look for business resources.
