FSU Libraries and Canvas Integration

This guide is designed to help faculty and instructors integrate library resources and services into Canvas courses.

Why should I add a librarian to my course?

Whether on-campus, online, or studying at one of our branch campus or international study centers, many students have trouble navigating FSU Libraries' vast collection of electronic resources and identifying what resources and support services are available. An FSU Librarian can help your students....

  • identify keywords and search terms for a topic
  • find credible resources
  • understand the important of scholarly resources
  • utilize databases, eBooks, and other library resources
  • become proficient in the research process

Instructors can work with your subject librarian to...

  • develop research assignments or course content such as focused videos and tutorials or research guides
  • create or moderate discussion boards
  • engage with your students during their research process
  • resolve access issues
  • assess your students' research skills
