What are Open Educational Resources (OER)?

Open Education encompasses resources, tools and practices that are free of legal, financial and technical barriers and can be fully used, shared and adapted in the digital environment. What kinds of resources qualify as Open Educational Resources (OER)?  OER can include class outlines and slides, syllabi, textbooks that are licensed to share with others, and more! Most OER have a Creative Commons (CC) license and can be copied and shared without restriction.
