The DMPTool is a free, open-source tool that helps researchers create data management plans (DMPs). The tool provides ready-to-use DMP templates that comply with specific U.S. funding agency requirements. It also has direct links to funder websites, help text for answering questions, and data management resources.
FSU is an institutional partner of the DMPTool, so you will be able to log in with your FSU credentials as well as have access to local resources and links provided by your FSU librarians.
See the rest of this page for information on how to log in and create your first DMP.
Florida State University is a DMPTool partner institution. Log in using your FSU credentials.

The DMPTool allows you to share your data management plan (DMP) within the DMPTool with other researchers. You can provide them with Co-ownership, Edit, or Read-only access. Invitees will receive an email notification that they have access to this plan.
Set the visibility of your plan by using the Finalize tab. By default, all new and test plans will be set to Private visibility. Public and Organizational visibility are intended for finished plans. Anyone can view your data management plan in the Public Plans list. Additionally, you can generate a DMP ID for your plan and link it to your ORCID.
