ORCID

This guide provides information about how to create and use your ORCID ID at FSU.

Setting Up Delegate Access

If you have an ORCID account, you can give access to delegates or "Trusted Individuals" who can access and edit your ORCID profile. Access can be given to multiple "Trusted Individuals" and revoked whenever you desire. However, the "Trusted Individuals" must already have their accounts. 

 

After ensuring the intended delegate has an ORCID account, under your name in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and click the drop down menu. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Scroll down the drop-down menu, choose "Trusted Parties," and search for your delegate by name, email address, or ORCID iD. Make sure that you confirm that you have the right person by matching their ORCID ID, and then click "Add as trusted individual" next to their name:

 

 

 

 

When the delegate you've added logs into their own ORCID account, they will see a new blue button that will allow them to switch between accounts:
