Books in the Pop Lit area at Strozier Library are organized by Fiction, Nonfiction, and Graphic Novels. Call numbers are a set of numbers and/or letters that help you locate Pop Lit books based on their genre.
Fiction and nonfiction call numbers in Pop Lit are made of the genre (F or NF) plus the first three letters of an author’s last name.
Graphic novels, on the other hand, use the Library of Congress classification system (i.e. organized by subject like our general collections)
Examples:
If you're searching for a specific book on the shelves, type the title into the OneSearch bar on lib.fsu.edu. Be sure to note its call number and make sure it’s available in the Pop Lit section. Then, use that information to guide your searching.
For instance, if the call number starts with F, head to the Fiction shelves! Feel free to ask a staff member at the Scholar Support Desk desk if you need help.
If you don’t feel like searching through the stacks, simply request the book online for pick up at your preferred library location.
We also have LEDS lockers located outside of Strozier and Dirac Science Library, so you can pick up your book 24/7, even when we’re closed!
