Artists' Books

Artists' Books

Artists' books are works of art conceived of and generated in a book-like format. Because artists' books are produced in limited editions and often made of delicate materials in unusual formats, they are kept in Special Collections. These books can be accessed through the reading room of the Special Collections Research Center on the first floor of Strozier Library Monday-Thursday 10am-6pm and Friday 10am-5:30pm.

This research guide provides an introduction to some of the structures, bindings, and materials that can be found in our artists' books collection. All of the artists' books can be found in the online catalog by performing an Advanced Search of "artists' books" in Subject Heading and "Strozier, Special Collections" in Location. A spreadsheet listing the books by title, author, date, and publisher can also be downloaded below.
