Research Guides: Company Research: Ratios

Financial ratios show the mathematical relationship between two numbers related to a company's performance. Once a ratio has been calculated according to the relevant formula, the ratio can be used to help determine how well a particular company is doing in comparison to its competitors and/or in comparison to its own past performance.
