Writing a Literature Review in Social Sciences

Checklist for Keeping Current

"Literature Review" and other relevant words in varying sizes and colors

At some point, you should "stop" searching and reading. For a dissertation project, or a very extensive literature review project, various feeds or alerts come in very handy to keep up with the research on the chosen topic.  Learn how to set Alerts at various databases and the library catalog. Our Alerts for Academic Use guide shows how to set up notifications that alert you to information relevant to your interests, including:

  • RSS Feeds
  • Database Alerts (search results)
  • Publisher Alerts (Table of Contents)
  • Social Media
