FSU scholars who reside more than 50 miles from FSU's Tallahassee Main Campus are considered ILL Distance Learners.
What to Know About Borrowing
FSU Libraries cannot mail physical materials to home addresses. This includes books and other items from our own collection as well as materials borrowed from other libraries through Resource Sharing.

What You Can Request
ILL Distance Learners have full access to our digital delivery service, which includes:
These items are delivered electronically through your ILLiad account, often within just a few days (sometimes hours!).
Submitting ILL request forms with complete and accurate information increases the chances that your request will be sent automatically to lending libraries, which can lead to faster delivery!

- Check local libraries: Your nearby public or academic library may have what you need.
- Reciprocal walk-in borrowing: As an FSU scholar, you have borrowing privileges at the 40 Florida public universities and colleges.
- ILL near you: Request an ILL through your local public library.
- Contact your academic liaison or research specialist for assistance.
