Mendeley is a reference manager that allows you to create a personal database of references related to your research, access or upload data, and insert citations into Word using thousands of citation styles. Mendeley also allows you to share references with other researchers.

Mendeley users can still sign up for a free account, which offers 2GB of web space and the ability to create 5 private groups with up to 25 members. They can also upgrade to a premium plan to access more space or groups. This guide explains how to sign up for the free edition.
