Strozier Instruction Room AV Equipment

A guide covering how to use and troubleshoot the AV equipment in both Strozier instruction rooms.

The Digital Whiteboards Allow Interaction With a Projected Image

107A's "Side Projector" and 005A's projector are touch capable digital whiteboards. Features include:

  • using a blank whiteboard for drawings
  • annotating projected images
  • controlling the instructor's computer via the projected image

Drawing and Manipulating Projected Objects

One can draw on the the digital whiteboard or projected image using either a finger or special pens. Although a finger is more convenient, you'll discover that you achieve more legible and predictable results if you use the pens. Each instruction room has its own set.

The pens. Note that each is color-coded.

Using the Whiteboard as a Blank Canvas

Turn the projector (107A: "Side Projector") on via the touchpad.

Because we only want to project the whiteboard, there is no reason to tap and drag an input source icon onto the active input area below.

Tap the touchpad's "Whiteboard" button.

The button will turn blue when whiteboard mode is active.

Use a finger or one of the pens to write or draw on the screen.

The pens work a little better, and one can assign each pen its own color.

Tap the touchpad's "Whiteboard" button.

Drag an input source icon onto the active input area below (107A: "Side Screen").
