All FSU students, staff, and faculty MAY check out 3-day loan tech items unless otherwise specified by an internal note in Alma
No one may check out duplicate items at the same time
FAMU-FSU engineering students, staff, and faculty MAY check out 3-day loan tech items unless otherwise specified by an internal note in Alma
Students, staff, and faculty from other universities in the state of Florida or across the country MAY NOT check out 3-day loan tech items (includes non-engineering FAMU students/staff/faculty and TCC students/staff/faculty)
This is because they are not listed in the registrar's system, so there is no way to charge them for a late, lost, or damaged item
Tech Renewal Policies
If there is currently a second identical item available for checkout in the tech cabinets, the scholar may renew their 3-day loan
If there is not currently a second identical item available for checkout in the tech cabinets, the scholar must wait one day between returning and re-renting a 3-day loan; this is to give others an opportunity to use the item
Tech Extension Policies
Scholars seeking an extension on their currently-loaned 3-day tech item or seeking an extended loan period for the future may contact one of the tech desk supervisors
It will be up to the discretion of the tech desk supervisors whether to grant the loan extension or not

Laptops
FAMU-FSU Engineering students can check out the Macs or the PC laptops
this is because the engineering program is a joint program between FAMU and FSU, so they are in the FSU registrar's system
FAMU students who are not in the engineering program may check out the PC laptops but not the Macs
TCC students may check out the PC laptops but not the Macs
